Implants
Implants are used to replace missing teeth and can serve as a foundation for individual teeth, bridges, and dentures. The three basic components of most implants are the "fixture" which is surgically implanted into supporting bone, the "abutment" which acts as a connector between the fixture and the final restoration, and the "final restoration" which may be a single crown, a bridge, or a denture. Dr. Jung has extensive training in implant dentistry and can perform surgeries right in the office and restore them as well. Dr. Jung earned an Associate Fellow credential through The American Academy of Implant Dentistry in 2006.
Crowns / Veneers
Crowns are used to restore a tooth that has fractured or is likely to fracture, often due to extensive decay, large fillings, heavy wear, or stress fractures. Most crowns cover the entire tooth to the gumline and can be fabricated from porcelain, porcelain and metal blends, or gold. Modern crowns are as strong as an unrestored tooth, and they wear at the same rate as the natural tooth structure.
Veneers are thin porcelain restorations that only cover the front of a tooth. They are primarily used for cosmetic reasons. Modern veneers are color stable and relatively strong. The life expectancy of most crowns is 10 years, although it is not uncommon to exceed this.
Cleaning
We offer several types of dental cleanings—from simple prophies to complicated root planning and quadrant therapy. Dr. Jung and his staff of highly skilled hygienists will assess your needs and create a plan to get you on your way to greater oral health.
Composites
Composites are tooth-colored fillings. Virtually undetectable, these fillings match the color of your teeth, are very durable, and do not contain mercury.
Zoom2 Whitening
Zoom Chair-side Whitening is a great way to achieve a bright smile in under 1 hours. After isolating your gum tissue, the whitening gel is applied to your teeth for 1 hour while being activated by a plasma arc light. Often teeth will brighten 2 or more shades in just one session. Touch-up sessions are available at a reduced rate, but they are usually not needed. Take-home trays can also be purchased for a nominal fee to allow for future touch-ups. Aside from mild discomfort for 24 hours, there are no side effects.
Extractions
Dr. Jung performs routine extractions and severe boney impacted wisdom teeth extractions under oral sedation, however, some of the more complicated extraction cases, Dr. Jung refers to an excellent network of surgeons who can assist you with IV sedation.
Root Canals
Occasionally the pulp tissue (the nerve, connective tissue, and blood vessels) within a tooth may become infected or irreversibly inflamed, resulting in the need for root canal therapy. During this procedure, the affected material is removed from the inner tooth, medications are placed to remove bacteria, and a sealer is placed to protect against further infection.
Dr. Jung can perform many root canals at his office with state-of-the-art equipment. However, certain pre-existing conditions may warrant treatment from a root canal specialist. Dr. Jung has a network of excellent specialists to refer you to, should the need arise.

We continually upgrade our equipment to ensure that patients can enjoy the latest technology when they come in for visits. Currently, we utilize all of the following:
Digital Radiographs
Digital radiographs (x-rays) allow for images to be stored within a computer without the use of film. They are more diagnostic, and they require 60% less radiation than normal dental films.
Magnification Scopes
Dr. Jung performs many procedures with the aid of magnification and fiber optic lights. This enables him to illuminate your teeth and view them at 5 times their normal size— you can imagine the benefit!
SILOLaser®
Laser dentistry allows for many procedures including cosmetic gum sculpting prior to crowns and veneers, pathology removal, and tooth desensitization without anesthetic (especially for children). Our laser is a diode laser that does not char tissue but requires special eyewear. There are currently less than 50 in the state of Texas.
State-of-the-Art Sterilization
We use the latest technology, including a Class B (hospital grade) sterilizer, to ensure maximum safety for our patients.
